| We have structured the cost of this campground in two formats: The first involves Pastors(and family) as well as any church sponsored event; the second is by individual Christian rates. No matter how small or what economical situation a church may be in, we open this campground and all its amenities for a love offering of any size. For individual Christian use of our facility we require a minimal donation as per the following list, which is below most market rates: Camper Sites: ....$25.00 per night(not available at present time) Primitive Camping:.. $3:00 per person Canoeing: (2.5 hrs); (4.5 hrs); (6 hrs) $35.00/Canoe Kayaking: (2.5 hrs); (4.5 hrs); (6 hrs) $30.00/Kayak Overnight Trips Available $20/each additional day-(Fri-Sat) $10/each additional day-(Sun-Thur) Tubing: $10.00 per tube(1.5-2hrs)(5hrs) --- Ice chest tubes $3.00 each Wood is provided upon request. (free) Day Use-$3 per person Once again, all church sponsored events will be by love offering. No amount of money is small in the hands of God. We are looking forward to serving God through serving the needs of your church. | Several years ago a ministry was birthed in our spirit. After much prayer, faith and through the power of God, we have begun this exciting journey. With only three plus acres of property, we opened our home site, which is located on the Bogue Chitto River, to pastors-their families-and church groups. By the movement of God, we acquired 2 additional acres and 2 campers. We officially opened KingsLand Ministries ("A Christian Family Campground") on the original seven acres. During this period, we offered primitive camping and access to the river. God moved once again and provided twenty-two canoes, nine kayaks, and fifty tubes in addition to two school buses. Kingsland Now Offers: Primitive Camping Canoeing Kayaking Tubing God's movement did not stop here; two immediate neighbors and three other local families donated the use of their land for KingsLand . After 5 years at our present location, we realize that a bigger place was needed. God was faithful and 42 acres were purchased. In 2006 God enlarged our territory and included a 7 acre island (perfect for youth groups). The Bogue Chitto river has sandy beaches and is wonderful to play in. This year will be one of excitement and hard work as Hurricane Katrina downed about 100 trees. A massive clean-up had to be under- taken and the heavy equipement could not reach the island (a work in progress). We are opening with very primitive conditions as a bathhouse and well has yet to be installed. Praise God, the engineer is drawing up plans. 2006 has come to a close, but not without excitement. The engineer finished the campgrounds plans and donated his time and cost of doing so. What a blessing! Scott was able to secure all the permits we needed to begin building. After more than a year, we have finally gotten loggers to the property. It won't be long now before we can begin. We know that God is greater than the vision He gave us. His vision exceeds our ability to accomplish our goals on our own. Yet, with God all things are possible. Our vision includes, not only the aforementioned activities, but also: Horseback Riding Go Cart Tracks Water Slides Swimming Pools Wading Pools Playgrounds Cabins Dormitories Christian Concerts (First Rate Staging Area) Without a doubt, this vision will be extended as God reveals His plan for KingsLand.
